The success of the Woolrich brand is an Italian-American joint production. Since the late nineties, Andrea Cane's trendy styles have been designed in Italy. However, the idea of a particularly weather-resistant and high-quality outdoor clothing goes back to the early nineteenth century. At that time, the American John Rich created a solid gap of excellent quality for the workers of the local fish factory in his hometown Plum Run: the Woolrich coats. For decades this wardrobe was trusted for qualitative and practical reasons until it suddenly became famous outside the borders of the USA. Italian fashion scouts discovered the exclusive coats and immediately imported the idea - Woolrich became an international top supplier.
